Chili sighting
Twenty-seven days ago we planted our first chili peppers among rows of winter wheat.
Since then we've been walking the rows frequently, checking soil moisture, pulling weeds and waiting for the first glimpses of young chili's.
We were not disappointed.
Grow chili's grow.

Things I'm thankful for today
1. The difference between the first and second discing.
2. Aslan gracing us with his presence in the tractor.
3. Sunset at the vineyard.
4. Tall wheat to protect the young chili seeds.
5. My husband. The man can fix anything, create anything, do anything. He's like the eighth wonder of the world.

We have water!
After months of planning and conversation, our new water wells are complete. (Well, mostly. You know how that goes.) Friday afternoon we flushed the lines, testing that each one works properly and removing as much sand as possible.
We're delighted to achieve this critical milestone.
Mayim was delighted by her unexpected muddy bath.
