Grape varieties planted this year: Ruby Cabernet, Caraignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and, my personal favorite, Moscato Giallo.

Flooring update
The unfinished floors are laid in the house now save for the bathrooms. We finished about 9 last night. Our goal is to complete the bathrooms tomorrow after the tiles have been grouted and cleaned.
All four of us are delighted to have a day off from home construction. Would you believe repairing a tractor sounded like more fun than nailing down one more floor board?

Bathroom tiling in progress
After additional delays on the house, it almost feels like it's really going to happen now. No new deadline was given. We're all just feverishly working to bring it to completion.

This week
This week is a busy one for BSV. Our second grape planting is in full swing as is laying the floor in the new house. We're also finishing up road work, filling out crop insurance paperwork, attending prenatal appointments, deer fencing, editing manuscripts, . . . oh, and my parents are here too. So if I'm a bit absent on the blog, please be lenient.
I'm not sure why, but Pape and Nonnie agreed to help us lay the floor in the house.
And of course by "us" I mean they agreed to help Nathan.
Though we women did contribute when possible.
I believe a total of six trips were made to Home Depot.
In addition to keeping the menfolk entertained with thoughtful commentary on which angle is really their best.
If you're wondering, we're laying unfinished New England White Pine. Once sanded we'll do a whitewash and a latex-based polyurethane.
