These peppers have an unbelievable scent to them. It's pure freshness. I wish I could bottle it.

Guarding your fields
I'm not sure why this fascinates me so. Maybe it's because something as simple as a pattern controls the mighty wind. Or maybe it's the cool graphic that results.
I've heard it called listing and listering. That up and down wavey motion--a simple pattern in the dirt--disrupts the wind from blowing away loose sand, compost and plants. If you hang around the local coop for long, it's the one thing everyone can agree on: The only way to guard your fields against the wind is to list.
